Conduct: Everjoy Kurangwah (“Ms Kurangwah”) breached their duties as a director of Direct Source Healthcare LTD (“DSH”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • DSH did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, resulting in the employment of 1 individual without the appropriate right to work. • After conducting a site visit, Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) issued DSH with a Civil Penalty of £10,000 on 16 December 2021 in respect of the employment of one worker without appropriate right to work, payment of which was due on or before 17 January 2022. • DSH appealed the Civil Penalty on 28 February 2022, but the appeal was dismissed by the court. • Following the dismissal of DSH’s appeal, DSH was ordered to pay £15,000 in costs in addition to the Civil Penalty. • Between 21 September 2024 and 01 February 2025, £3,423 was paid towards the £25,000, leaving £21,577 outstanding at liquidation on 25 February 2026. • Ms Kurangwah was an appointed director of the company at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
