Conduct: On 29 September 2020, Pedram Houshmand (“Mr Houshmand”) caused Trade Sale Solutions Ltd (“TSS”) to apply for a government backed Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 when it was not eligible for a loan of that amount, by providing information to the lender which he knew or ought to have known was inaccurate, in that: • A business could apply for a loan between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of 25% of turnover. Where a company was established before 01 January 2019, the turnover figure required was that for the 2019 calendar year. TSS was incorporated on 24 October 2013. • In the BBL application dated 29 September 2020, which was signed electronically by Pedram Houshmand, he stated that the annual turnover of TSS was £250,000. TSS received £50,000 into its bank account on 30 September 2020. • The total receipts into the company bank account in the calendar year 2019 were £109,314, and based on this figure, the company would have been eligible for a maximum BBL of £27,328. The company therefore received a minimum of £22,672 more than it was entitled to. • At liquidation on 30 August 2024, £46,189.12 of the BBL remained outstanding.
