  • At 31 August 2015, Transbearco had an accrued VAT liability of £14,252.
  • Transbearco failed to file VAT returns for quarters ending 07/15 to 10/16 resulting in HMRC raising assessments totalling £51,914 (plus surcharges of £7,377, penalties of £256 and interest of £120).
  • Transbearco made payments totalling £10,000 which were allocated to previous VAT liabilities by HMRC.
  • At cessation of trade Transbearco had a VAT liability of £63,919. PAYE/NIC
  • For tax year 2013/2014 Transbearco had a PAYE/NIC and a Class 1A NIC charge liability of £3,083. The company made payments totalling £1,993 leaving an outstanding liability of £1,091.
  • For tax year 2014/2015, Transbearco had a PAYE/NIC liability totalling £2,400, plus a penalty of £100. For the same period HMRC have also claimed £1,200 in respect of Class 1A NIC penalty. The company made no payments resulting in an outstanding liability of £3,700.
  • For tax year 2015/2016, Transbearco had a PAYE/NIC liability totalling £2,400, plus penalties of £1,100. The company made payments totalling £1,000 resulting in an outstanding liability of £2,500.
  • For months April 2015 to October 2016, when the company ceased to trade, the company had a PAYE/NIC liability of £1,400 plus penalties of £500. The company made no payments leaving an outstanding liability of £1,900. Comparable treatment
  • Bank statements have only been made available from 16 June 2014 onwards. Between 16 June 2014 and 28 October 2016, the date the company ceased trading, receipts into Transbearco’s bank account totalled £999,056 and payments totalled £1,003,766.
