Conduct: Ahmad Maqsood (“Mr Maqsood”) breached his duties as a director of Ali Ka (39) Ltd (“Ali Ka (39)”) by failing to ensure that it complied with its legislative requirements, in that: • Ali Ka (39) did not comply with its statutory obligations under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (“2006 Act”), resulting in the employment of three individuals who did not have the right to work in the United Kingdom in 2023. • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”), visited the trading premises on 28 April 2023, and after investigating the company issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £30,000 in respect of the employment of three illegal workers, which was due for payment on or before 15 December 2023. • Mr Maqsood was the sole director at the time of the breach. • Ali Ka (39) has not paid the penalty due to HOIE, and at liquidation Ali Ka (39) had liabilities of at least £30,000, of which £30,000 related to the outstanding Civil Penalty.
