Conduct: On 16 June 2020 Noel Norbert Walker (“Mr Walker”) obtained a £50,000 Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) for Curtis Wayne Urban Homes Limited (“Homes”) which Homes was not eligible for by providing inaccurate information about its turnover, in that: • under the BBL scheme a business that was established before 01 January 2019 could apply for a loan of 25% of its turnover in the 2019 calendar year, up to a maximum of £50,000; • Homes was incorporated on 19 September 2011 and traded as a property developer from 2017; • in May 2020 Mr Walker applied for a £50,000 BBL for Homes and declared a turnover of £1,250,000; • the BBL was received in the company’s bank account on 16 June 2020; • based on the company bank statements, Homes had no turnover in 2019 and was not eligible for a BBL; • Homes went into liquidation on 24 March 2023 without having made any BBL repayments.
