The turnover figure required was that of the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover, provided it was carrying on business on 01 March 2020 and trading at the date of the application. • Doorbox was incorporated on 13 May 2010. • Mr Barker was the sole director when the BBL application was made and throughout the life of Doorbox. • Doorbox applied for a BBL of £43,000, declaring an annual turnover for 2019 of £175,000 • £43,000 in BBL funds were paid into Doorbox’s bank account on 26 June 2020. • Accounts for year end 31 May 2019 show turnover of £22,659 • Accounts for year end 31 May 2020 show turnover of £37,768 • Total liabilities shown in the Statement of Affairs at liquidation of Doorbox are £57,442, of which £53,500 is due to the bank.
